Rape is non-consensual sexual intercourse usually committed through force. Date rape is rape in an existing relationship. Intercourse with a minor is known as statutory rape. Even if consent was given, law states what is an acceptable age to give legal consent. Rape is considered first-degree sexual assault in many states.
